Rutwik Mudholkar - Aylesbury – United Kingdom
As a child he was always interested in Maths and Science. He used Lego
to build structures and power them with motors.
As he grew up, he started
doing personal projects in Python at school, everything from Calculators
and Chatbots. His dream is to make a positive impact on the world with what he has learnt, while pushing himself to the BEST he can be…!
He has considerable exposure to Data Science.
For a Particle Physics lab project studying matter-antimatter asymmetries in the LHC, he used advanced statistical methods, error correction and relativistic kinematics to isolate salient Meson decay data retrieved from CERN.
He then used Scipy and Matplotlib to generate folded Dalitz plots and histograms to identify CP-violating regions.
His BSc dissertation on Attention and Correlation in Convolutional Neural Networks expanded on this front, learning more about deep learning models and pipelines. In tandem, he performed basic image processing in Python with NumPy and Scikit-learn.
In a professional capacity worked at Autodesk for a year, improving subtractive toolpath generation in the manufacturing kernel for their CAD products. He wrote in C++, learning to optimize low-level architecture by implementing better mathematical models to create and manipulate complex 3D geometry.
One task required him to use a custom k-means clustering algorithm to detect regions for smooth toolpath curve start and endpoints.
Sudhir Apte - Pune - India
A genius in technical field.
As a child , his inclination was towards building Nation-First attitude
among kids of his age. His friendly & supportive nature was appreciated
not only by his friends but by their families also.
His father was a well known Electrical Contarctor in Sangli-Maharashtra
& his major work was rewinding of burnt electrical three phase motors.
Sudhir was helping his father whenever he finds time.
Got BE Electrical engineering degree from Walchand College of
engineering -Sangli. He had promised his father that, he will find
permanent solution to avoid burning of electrical motors.
Invented the first Single Phasing Preventer – The First of its kind
in the world - a device to protect Motor from burning - operating
on ” Negative Sequence Components” in three phase supply
system.
After this he never looked back.
He entered into Electrostatic
painting field. Produced complete PaintShop System.
Studied various methods of waste Heat Recovery System.
He was very much concerned about wastage of heat energy through
flue gas from powder coating ovens, Hot water generators,Diesel generator sets etc.
He developed suitable system to reuse this waste heat &
minimize energy cost.
He developed the First Indigenous Jig Cleaning Machine PYROCLEAN.
Pyro-clean is a direct heat process with integral thermal oxidation
providing fast cleaning cycle time.
Periodical cleaning of Jigs is
necessary for proper running of Plant. Jigs get cleaned in Pyroclean
machine & can be reused without any alteration in its shape, size.
The traditional methods of cleaning Jigs by burning in open field is not recommended because of environmental problems & moreover the jig itself gets warped many times.
During his entire career he was not only occupied with managing business, introducing new concepts -new developments but also busy working for less-priveleged folk.
His primary attitude of Nation-First, never went up dry..he kept on working with many social organizations perpetually.
After taking retirement from Business, he started his own consultancy firm(Surfacoat Consultancy Services) – Engineering consultancy services for putting up Powder/liquid coating plants.
His keen interest in Engineering Design made him to learn Autocad, 3D Model,Catia & also earned proficiency in that field.
During Covid Pandemic he catched up a new passion - WRITING..
Articles , short stories ,Technical books, Poems , Dramas…endless items started flowing out of his Pen..
According to him this Pandemic period is a BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE to him.
In his words “ Covid Epidemic is not a curse to me,in fact it proved a blessings in disguise to me. Moving out from home was restricted – sitting idle is a torture to me – meanwhile I catched up this passion of WRITING..which was a sort of relaxation to me & enjoying it even today “
